Introducing AMI Advanced Technology For Electronic BPM's

EFFItens AMI
Spengler, French manufacturer of medical devices introduces from September 2010 its new advanced AMI technology on its EFFItens AMI electronic blood pressure monitor.

Today on the international market, customers can buy BPM's with "Fuzzy logic" or "Smart logic" technologies. Both are found to be accurate. Nevertheless, many medical studies have shown that "Fuzzy logic" (inflate mode) technology gives better results on systolic than on diastolic while "Smart logic" technology (deflate mode) is given to be more accurate on diastolic than systolic.

AMI, from Advanced Measurement Intelligence, is based on these medical studies that have shown that patients get better results for systolic with "Smart logic" and for diastolic with "Fuzzy logic".
Therefore, EFFItens AMI gives to the patient the possibility to get both technologies, for higher accuracy on systolic and diastolic.
The patient gets the best of both technologies by switching to AMI mode. EFFItens AMI first inflates and take patient's blood pressure while inflating ("Smart Logic"). Then, EFFItens AMI takes petient's BP while deflating ("Fuzzy Logic"). Finally, EFFItens AMI displays the result on a jumbo backlit display, where systolic comes from inflate mode and diastolic from deflate mode.
