An innovative workstation considered essential for gynaecology practitioners will receive its worldwide launch at MEDICA 2015.
UK-based DP Medical Systems Ltd will launch MediScan – a capture and archive system for gynaecological examinations - to healthcare providers and distributors at the world’s biggest healthcare exhibition.
MediScan provides a secure pathway for recording, storing and encrypting patient gynaecology examinations for analysis and archiving. Working with key opinion leaders, MediScan has evolved into the essential workstation for every gynaecology practitioner.
MediScan consists of software, image capture hardware based on medical grade PCs and a configurable dataset. Still images and video are captured in real-time and stored against the patient record for retrieval anywhere in the hospital or secure network.
The system uses a simple to operate user interface, including touch screen technology and a question and answer based approach to data entry. Installations are tailored to suit the needs of the clinic, from a single standalone software license through to a fully networked, integrated theatre and outpatient solution.
Owen Pemberton, Commercial Director at DP Medical Ltd, said: “We’re delighted to be launching MediScan to the international healthcare market at this year’s MEDICA.
“MediScan will provide end-users with a number of key benefits, including increased software security, improved patient experience through image sharing and a better platform for end-users to educate students and other clinical staff on complex colposcopy cases.
“We’re now looking forward to exhibiting MediScan to an international audience of distributors, clinicians and key opinion leaders at MEDICA 2015 – demonstrating that it is now the essential workstation for all gynaecological practitioners.”
DP Medical will launch MediScan at the four-day exhibition, which takes place at the Messe Düsseldorf from 16-19 November, at Stand G18-7 in Hall 16.
