After the welcoming address of the Chairman of GHE, Markus Braun to the summer convention of the German Healthcare Export Group e. V. (GHE), the Managing Director of Weinmann Emergency GmbH + Co.KG, André Schulte, leads the members in the world of ventilation and defibrillation. The family owned company focuses on the professional emergency medicine. They provide intelligent and easy to use medical devices as reliable solutions for life-saving interventions outside the clinic. The company exports its solutions for emergency, transport and disaster medicine in over 100 countries. The product range is supplemented by the Weinmann mobile service. An on-the-spot service for maintenance, safety checks and repairs can minimize downtime. The GHE members could visit an emergency vehicle equipped by Weinmann and a service vehicle.

Industrial health industry sets impuls to export leads
The State Councilor for Health and Consumer Protection of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg Elke Badde explained that the health economy in Hamburg has replaced the port industries. The port industries were for a long time the most important branch of the economy in Hamburg. The Hamburg Senate has recognized this and supports Hamburg and its health companies with two cluster agencies, Gesundheitswirtschaft Hamburg GmbH and LifeScience Nord GmbH. That also includes cooperation with initiatives as the German Healthcare Export Group e. V.(GHE). Elke Badde would welcome an more intensive exchange with the GHE and its member companies. The Hamburg Authority for Health and Consumer Protection supports export-oriented companies in their entry on markets as well. During visits of foreign delegations from the Arab Gulf region, China and North Africa makers and operators in the healthcare industry are brought together.

Weinmann Emergency GmbH + Co.KG, who is market leader in transport ventilation and suction, is a good example in the development of innovative and modern solutions. The concept of regional affinity with a view to international markets is one of the German concepts for success, said Badde.

Country focus „Eurasia“-states
The development of the „Eurasia“-states with Turkey, Azerbaijan and the five –stan countries Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan presents a challenge for companies in the medical technology sector. There are also opportunities. Data about the markets have been the basis for the exchange of experience between the members. In four „Eurasia“ workshops the members deepen their knowledge in Cluster groups.

Some internal themes round off the GHE-session.
