Cardiovascular diseases – problems from head to toe

From top to bottom – the cardiovascular system reaches the outermost parts of our limbs where it ends in extremely small blood vessels. This is why its diseases are especially devastating, because they potentially affect our whole body. Heart attacks or strokes are the worst emergencies that can happen: High blood pressure, arthrosclerosis, vascular constriction or changes in heart rhythm affect us strongly as well. We took a look at current research that aims to keep our blood circulation healthy.
