MEDICA 2010 in Düsseldorf Fully Booked

For the first time ever over 5,000 companies from the world’s medical industry registered for MEDICA/COMPAMED 2010. The annual 4-day event which will take place from November 17 - 20, 2010 is bursting out of the seams and will once again occupy all of Messe Düsseldorf’s 19 exhibition halls.

No other medical trade fair in the world compares in terms of size, scope of exhibits, international exposure and in its role as a global marketing platform to MEDICA. Once again, exhibits will span laboratory equipment/diagnostics, physiotherapy/orthopedic equipment, disposables, electro medicine/medical technology, medical IT, as well as the two-hall medical component show, COMPAMED. In 2009 some 137,000 trade visitors attended the show.

Record Canadian Showing acknowledged by Canadian Ambassador

50 Canadian exhibitors (an increase of 6.4% over 2009) have booked 7,200 square feet of exhibition space setting a new space record, surpassing the previous record from 2009. With 15 new exhibitors from Canada, a matchmaking program by Export Development Canada (EDC) in hall 6.1 on November 18, 2010 and a welcome address by the Canadian Ambassador to Germany during a networking reception that evening in hall 16, the upcoming event will easily be one of the more exciting showings of Canadian technology and product capabilities on record in the 41-year history of the show.

New Product Specific Canadian Pavilion in Hall 15 with Province of Alberta

For the first time there will be a product specific Canadian Pavilion in the information and communications technology section of the show (hall 15). With 50% of the exhibitors from Alberta this is an impressive premier for the province at the show. There ara also Canadian Pavilions in the electromedicine/medical technology (hall 16), the laboratory equipment/diagnostics (hall 3), the disposables (hall 6) and physiotherapy/orthopedic equipment (hall 5) sections of the show.

These pavilions are organized by the Messe Düsseldorf (Canada) office in Toronto. They traditionally offer smaller or first time exhibitors a turnkey/full service platform to market their products and services to the global industry.
