Toronto, Ontario, November 05, 2015 - Canadians Take More Space than Ever
52 Canadian medical technology companies (one more than in 2014) take a staggering total of 9,000 square feet of net exhibition space, 3.6% over 2014. They show products as varied as rapid tests, orthopaedic as well as communications and medical devices.
With 12 new exhibitors, a number of matchmaking initiatives with organizations from around the world and a networking reception organized by the Federal Government and supported by the Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec provincial governments on November 17, 2015 at the hall 16 Canadian Pavilion, the event offers Canadian exhibitors and visitors ample opportunities to showcase their latest in technology and product capabilities.
Both Alberta and Ontario are represented with an information booth in the Canadian Pavilion in hall 16. Ontario once again has the largest exhibitor group with 25 exhibitors, with British Columbia coming in second with 17 and Quebec with 8 exhibitors. The bulk of Canadian exhibitors are located in halls 3 (13) and 16 (20).
Three Product Specific Canadian Pavilions
Canada has pavilions in the electro medicine/medical technology (hall 16), the laboratory equipment/diagnostics (hall 3) and the disposables (hall 5 and 6) sections of the show. These pavilions are organized by the Messe Düsseldorf (Canada) office in Toronto. They offer smaller or first time exhibitors turnkey and/or full service exhibit solutions at the show.
MEDICA Bursting Out of its Seams
A record 5,724 companies from more than 70 countries around the world registered for MEDICA / COMPAMED 2015. The annual four-day event is bursting out of the seams and once again occupies 17 of Messe Düsseldorf’s 19 exhibition halls (the remaining two are occupied by COMPAMED, the long-time component show that runs for four instead of three days in sync with MEDICA for the first time). International participation once again is well over 65%, reflecting and underlining MEDICA’s role and appeal as the key meeting place for the global medical business communities.
No other medical trade fair in the world compares in terms of size, scope of exhibits, international exposure and in its role as a global marketing platform to MEDICA. The industry continues to put its money on MEDICA. It features the right balance of quality and quantity in terms of supply and demand.
