The Ulm-based company Beurer set up the Beurer foundation in January 2015. The aim of the non-profit foundation is to optimally support selected social projects and projects for the conservation of the environment.
The Beurer foundation is a non-profit company foundation based in Ulm. The foundation acts autonomously and independently when making decisions. Beurer has incorporated a share of the company in the non-profit foundation. The support funds are used to selectively support regional and national projects for helping disadvantaged children, young people and women as well as the conservation of the environment. The foundation sees the largest leverage effect of the deployed funds in the support of training schemes in particular. Thanks to the increasing internationalisation of the company, which is represented in 80 countries by 9 subsidiaries and numerous partners, the Beurer foundation will also support international projects.
Inspiration for setting up the foundation
The roots of today's global player, Beurer, date back to 1919. Health and well-being have been the key focus at the traditional Ulm-based company right from the start. Today Beurer, the fourth-generation family-owned company, is more successful than ever with products that precisely touch the spirit of the age and is the market leader in several product areas. To ensure that this success remains sustainable, Beurer places great value on social considerations. As a result, young families and parents are supported within the company so that they can go on finding a strong footing in their working lives. What's more, Beurer has been involved with social projects in the region for many years. The Beurer foundation combines the social commitment of the company with the need to support both society and the environment.
