The delegation of companies from the Brazilian Health Devices (BHD) program has been participating at the Dusseldorf fair for 15 years
Brazil marks its 15 years at MEDICA, in Dusseldorf, between November 14 and 17, with a delegation of 47 health equipment companies aimed at various sectors, including: medical-hospital, laboratory, physiotherapy and orthopaedics, implants and consumables.
Due to the diversity of the portfolio of products on offer, these Brazilian companies will be located throughout different pavilions: 39 have their stands in Hall 17, while another four are set up in Hall 3 and the remaining four are in Hall 4.
The companies are members of Brazilian Health Devices (BHD), an export project run by ABIMO (the Brazilian Medical Devices Manufacturers Association) in partnership with Apex-Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency).
ABIMO superintendent Paulo Henrique Fraccaro’s assessment: “The health sector is increasingly looking for savings and efficiency in its treatments, anywhere in the world, and Brazilian companies, which have been investing in the quality of their products for years, now have all the conditions they need to meet this demand profile because our products offer an excellent cost-benefit ratio”.Business
In 2015, BHD companies closed almost US$ 10 million in business resulting from their MEDICA participation, where they made over 2,400 contacts with representatives from companies in 121 countries.
Laísa Franca, the coordinator of ABIMO’s trade promotion, says “These are very expressive figures for the sector’s Brazilian industry”, adding “Faced with an internal economic outlook that is less than satisfactory, Brazilian companies have been seeking out new export opportunities and have been getting results”.
The Brazilian companies expect that the sales volume for the 2016 edition of the fair will surpass last year’s result.Happy Hour
The 15th anniversary of the Brazil pavilion will be celebrated with a Brazilian happy hour, at which typical food and drink will be served, such as the traditional caipirinha, in addition to live Brazilian music. This event is exclusive to ABIMO guests and the Brazilian companies at MEDICA 2016.BRAZILIAN HAPPY HOUR
